The Combinative Collective experience

More than qualifications. A collection of opportunities.

At Combinative Collective, learning goes beyond completing courses. We bring together flexible digital education, expert guidance, industry knowledge and professional connections to create a learning experience that supports each learner's individual pathway.

Through Canvas by Instructure, learners access their chosen combination of courses asynchronously, studying at their own pace and around their existing commitments. Alongside their qualifications, learners benefit from structured coaching, live subject-specialist support and opportunities to engage with professionals from their chosen industries.

  1. Canvas by Instructure: your learning platform

Access your courses, interactive learning materials, activities and assessments through our online platform. Learn at your own pace, revisit content when needed and monitor your progress towards your qualifications, without following a fixed daily timetable.

  2. Dedicated learning coaches & progress monitoring

Every learner has a dedicated coach who monitors engagement, reviews progress and helps identify barriers to learning. Regular coaching sessions provide accountability, encouragement and guidance, arranged around individual timetables and commitments. Regular coaching is included during term time, with additional sessions available to purchase during holiday periods, subject to coach availability.

  3. Live subject-specialist support

Scheduled live drop-in sessions give learners opportunities to ask questions, revisit challenging topics and receive guidance from subject specialists. Online discussion boards also enable learners to communicate with staff and fellow learners outside scheduled sessions.

  4. Industry experts & masterclasses

Access opportunities to learn from industry professionals through guest speakers, specialist webinars and career-focused masterclasses. These experiences connect course content to professional practice, emerging industry trends and real-world career opportunities.

  5. Your professional Collective

Become part of a growing professional learning community connecting learners, industry experts, employers and others pursuing similar career pathways. As our industry networks develop, learners will have opportunities to build connections, share experiences and explore future employment and apprenticeship pathways.

  6. Learning resources & practical materials

Access digital resources, course materials and learning activities through Canvas. Where required, subject-specific resource packs will also be provided to support practical learning and the completion of relevant course activities.

  7. Career connections & progression

Explore opportunities for work experience, apprenticeships, further qualifications and employment. Where appropriate, we will support learners in identifying suitable progression routes and connecting with relevant industry professionals and organisations.

Recognised qualifications

Qualifications that open doors.

At Combinative Collective, we bring together academic and vocational qualifications to create personalised, career-focused pathways towards further education, employment, apprenticeships and entrepreneurship. Our educational offer combines Pearson qualifications in English, mathematics and business with industry-specific qualifications awarded by recognised professional and vocational awarding organisations.

Qualifications for every starting point

Our courses span a range of qualification levels, including Entry Level, Functional Skills, GCSEs, A Levels and vocational qualifications, depending on the subject and course availability. Learners can combine subjects and qualifications at different levels, creating a pathway that reflects their starting point, individual needs and future ambitions.

Assessment & examinations

Our approach to assessment is designed to be as flexible and accessible as possible, while meeting the requirements of the relevant awarding organisations. Learners are supported towards examination and assessment readiness, with entry determined by their progress, qualification requirements and published examination windows.

For eligible qualifications, remote invigilation may be available, subject to awarding organisation approval and examination requirements. Some vocational qualifications may require practical assessments with our partner employers or approved training providers, while others may require learners to travel to designated examination or assessment centres. Full details of assessment methods, examination dates, locations and any additional requirements will be provided before enrolment.
