Neurodiversity, inclusion and wellbeing

Known, understood and supported

Every learner is different, and their education should reflect that. Whether a learner is neurodivergent, has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), experiences barriers to traditional education or simply requires a more flexible approach, we combine flexible, asynchronous learning with personalised coaching and specialist support to create the right combination for them.

Personalised inclusion

Removing barriers. Creating opportunities.

At Combinative Collective, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We recognise that every learner has their own strengths, needs and aspirations, and we believe education should adapt to the individual.

For neurodivergent learners, those with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), disabilities or other barriers to learning, we combine flexible, asynchronous education with personalised coaching, reasonable adjustments and tailored support.

Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) oversees our approach to identifying and supporting additional learning needs. We follow a graduated approach of Assess, Plan, Do and Review, working collaboratively with learners, families, commissioners and relevant professionals to plan provision, monitor progress and adapt support.

For learners with an EHCP, our SENCo can contribute to statutory annual reviews, provide progress reports and evidence of progress towards agreed outcomes, and work alongside local authorities and other professionals to ensure learning remains responsive to individual needs. Where additional specialist or therapeutic support is required, this can be explored as part of a personalised learning package, subject to availability and agreed funding.

Questions

Questions we are often asked

Have another question? Get in touch

Do I need a diagnosis or an EHCP to access personalised support?

No. You do not need a formal diagnosis or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to explore learning with Combinative Collective.

We recognise that learners experience barriers to education for many different reasons. Our team works with you to understand your individual needs, identify appropriate reasonable adjustments and explore the right combination of learning and support.

How do you support neurodivergent learners?

Our flexible, asynchronous learning model allows learners to access educational materials at their own pace, revisit content and study in an environment that suits their needs.

Our SENCo oversees inclusion arrangements, while dedicated coaches monitor engagement and progress. We work collaboratively to identify reasonable adjustments and adapt support through our graduated approach of Assess, Plan, Do and Review.

Can you support learners with an EHCP and contribute to annual reviews?

Yes. We work with learners, families, local authorities and relevant professionals to support progress towards agreed EHCP outcomes.

Our SENCo can contribute to statutory annual reviews, provide progress reports and evidence of achievement, and help identify where provision or additional support may need to be adjusted.

What if I need additional specialist or therapeutic support?

We recognise that some learners benefit from additional specialist input alongside their educational programme.

Where appropriate, we can explore incorporating specialist or therapeutic services into a personalised learning package, subject to availability, individual requirements and agreed funding.

How do you monitor wellbeing and identify when someone needs additional support?

Every learner has a dedicated coach who monitors engagement, progress and achievement during term time. Through regular check-ins, progress reviews and communication with learners and relevant support networks, we aim to identify emerging barriers early and respond appropriately.

Our safeguarding arrangements and online safety procedures support a safe and respectful digital learning environment.
